After a brief hiatus, the PGA Tour returns to action this week in Napa, California, at the Fortinet Championship.
\nMax Homa, who was recently in Rome with the United States Ryder Cup team on a scouting mission of Marco Simone Golf and Country Club, returns to Silverado Resort’s North Course as the two-time defending champion.
\nThe 32-year-old comes into the week with five straight top-20 finishes: T-12 (Scottish Open), T-10 (The Open), T-6 (FedEx St. Jude), T-5 (BMW) and T-9 (Tour Championship). After struggling mid-summer, Homa is back to the form we saw from him in the late winter and spring of 2023.
\nRyder Cup teammate Justin Thomas, Sahith Theegala and rising star Akshay Bhatia join him in the field.

We’ve arrived at the final event of the 2022-23 PGA Tour season, the Tour Championship at East Lake in Atlanta. The top 30 in the point standings have made their way to the ATL ready to battle for the $18 million FedEx Cup bonus awarded to the winner.
\nAfter his co-runner-up finish at the BMW Championship, world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler will begin the tournament at 10 under, two shots clear of the man in the No. 2 spot, Viktor Hovland. Rory McIlroy, who has now finished T-9 or better in nine straight starts after a solo fourth at Olympia Fields, will begin three back at 7 under, while Jon Rahm starts at 6 under.
\nMcIlroy chased down Scheffler last year to claim his third FedEx Cup, the only player who has achieved that feat (Tiger Woods and McIlroy are the only two players to win it more than once).

The FedEx Cup Playoffs roll on this week in Illinois at Olympia Fields’ North Course for the BMW Championship.
\nAfter lifting another piece of hardware in Memphis, Lucas Glover owns the No. 4 spot in the points standings, trailing only Rory McIlroy (No. 3), Scottie Scheffler (No. 2) and Jon Rahm (No. 1).
\nAlthough Patrick Cantlay is technically the defending champion of this event, Rahm is the last player to win at OFCC for the BMW, taking down LIV Golf’s Dustin Johnson in a playoff back in 2020.
\nOn the odds sheet, there’s clear separation between the top four players \u2014 McIlroy (+650), Scheffler (+700), Rahm (+900) and Cantlay (+1000) \u2014and the rest of the field, but that doesn’t mean someone can’t shock the world.

The final event of the PGA Tour 2022-23 regular season is here as a field of players hoping to earn an invitation to TPC Southwind has arrived at Sedgefield Country Club for the Wyndham Championship.
\nJustin Thomas, the biggest name in the field, is fighting for more than just a playoff spot \u2014 he’s hoping to make a final impression on United States Ryder Cup captain Zach Johnson. Thomas comes into the week in Greensboro, North Carolina, ranked 79th in the FedEx Cup standings. The top 70 get into the FedEx St. Jude Championship in Memphis next week.
\nAdam Scott, Shane Lowry and Gary Woodland are just three of the other big names hoping a good week at Sedgefield can propel them into the postseason.

The fourth of five women’s major championships is here as the best players in the world have made their way to Evian-les-Bains, France, for the 2023 Amundi Evian Championship at Evian Resort Golf Club.
\nLast year’s champion Brooke Henderson comes into the week in great form, totaling three top-15 finishes in her last four starts, including the U.S. Women’s Open and KPMG Women’s PGA Championship.
\nHyo Joo Kim, the 8th-ranked player in the world, is the betting favorite at +1200 (12/1). She’s yet to win in 2023, however, she’s finished inside the top 20 in nine of her 10 LPGA starts this year. Kim tied for third at the Evian last season.
